What is PRACC?
Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising Professionals of Collier County (PRACC) is Collier County's only independent organization for professionals actively engaged in all aspects of the communications field. With almost 100 members, PRACC offers many benefits, including monthly meetings with informative speakers, networking opportunities, on-going professional development workshops and seminars, membership directories, media directories and more.
One of the most valuable benefits of membership in PRACC is the opportunity to interact and network with your peers. To benefit further from your membership, we encourage members to join a committee or volunteer to work on a specific PRACC project. Our Mission
To promote a high level of recognition and ethical standing throughout the public relations, marketing and advertising community; to engender quality educational programs; to provide a forum for the exchange of trends, ideas and innovations; and to provide members with networking opportunities, direct channels of communication with other public relations, marketing and advertising professionals.
Who is PRACC Designed For?
PRACC is a network for Collier County public relations professionals, publication editors, graphics and multimedia designers, television and radio broadcast journalists, advertising executives, marketing professionals, business owners, government public information officers and web designers.
PRACC Scholarship
PRACC awards a scholarship(s) in April to a qualified local student that will be or is studying communications at a Florida university.
Each scholarship is $500.
Students whose permanent residence is in Collier County may apply. The scholarship is open to college, high school, private, and home school students.
All students must write a one-page press release about themselves.
The deadline for submission is March 31.
A special PRACC scholarship committee will review submissions and the award
recipient(s) will be contacted by April 15. Distribution of funds will be handled based on school guidelines.
Award recipients are encouraged to attend the annual May Workshop where he/she will be introduced to members.
Students registered at a Collier County school must fill out the CCPS Scholarship Application form available through the school district website at http://collier.k12.fl.us/student_services/scholarships/
All other students ONLY need to send a press release. We do not require transcripts or a minimum GPA. Mail your press release (and CCPS application) to PRACC, P.O. 9063, Naples, FL 34101.
